Alongside our legal expertise, we offer understanding and steadfast support throughout the process. We represent you with absolute commitment, always mindful of the potentially damaging consequences any adverse findings might have on both your professional and personal life.
Our team has worked in most professional sectors, and we offer complete advice and support for clients facing proceedings in the following disciplines and regulatory bodies:
- General Chiropractic Council
- General Dentistry Council
- General Medical Council
- Health Professions Council
- Nursing and Midwifery Council
- General Optical Council
- General Osteopathic Council
- General Pharmaceutical Council
- Care Council Wales
- General Teaching Council
- Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
While there is no automatic right to legal representation at a disciplinary hearing, we have attended these meetings on our clients' behalf and, where appropriate, will fight for you to be accompanied by a lawyer.
Should it not be possible for you to have a legal representative present, then we can provide additional legal support such as fighting for disclosure of all relevant documents, outlining your key arguments and preparing you or your nominated supporter (who could be a friend or trade union official) to present your case effectively.
Professional regulation matters are usually funded privately or through legal expenses insurance under your home insurance policy. You may also have insurance cover under your union membership. We are not able to offer no-win no-fee arrangements for professional regulatory matters as costs are not usually recoverable.
Please note that we are always happy to be flexible about fee-charging arrangements, including offering capped fees, progressively reduced fees and other arrangements.
If we act for you in an application or appeal in the high court, we may be able to offer no-win no-fee arrangements (as these costs are recoverable, unlike employment tribunal costs).
If you have union membership or legal expenses insurance, please remember that you have the right to instruct a solicitor of your choice.
