Philip joined Neumans in October 2011 as an assistant solicitor in the fraud and serious crime department.

After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Politics at the University of Stirling in 2005, he undertook a Masters degree in Human Rights. It was at this point he decided he wanted to pursue a career in Law, following which, he attended South Bank University in 2007 and passed the Graduate Diploma in Law with a commendation. Philip then went on to study his LPC at The College of Law Guildford.

Philip joined Venters Solicitors in 2008 and undertook his Training Contract, completing seats in both Family and Crime. He was admitted to the roll in August 2011.

While Philip has had considerable legal experience, he is also able to draw on his non-legal knowledge obtained while interning at the United Nations Association. The internship was hosted by the Human Rights Department where, amongst other things, he created a profile pack on North Korea for a model General Assembly meeting which was presented at schools and universities. Philip also worked in the Membership Department writing to members and updating records.

When not at work, Philip is a keen sportsman; he plays both golf and squash to club league standard. Philip also enjoys going to the theatre and travelling. Places visited include Sri Lanka and Cambodia where he taught English.
