Matthew Fresco specialises in criminal law and is a qualified Duty Solicitor. He represents defendants at police stations during interviews and is an experienced advocate in the Magistrates’ court. He is on call 24 hours a day and is quite happy representing clients in the middle of the night.
He has a dealt with a wide range of clients who have been accused of an equally wide range of crimes. He primarily represents nurses, teachers and other professionals. His clients have included Middle East Princes and London's homeless. He is at home with both and treats them all just the same. He is a regular at most of the police stations and Magistrates’ courts in London. During his career he has dealt with cases covering the whole spectrum of criminal defence work from the most petty to the most serious. He is always personable and approachable. He is a good communicator and sees his job as defending his clients, regardless of the offence, to the very best of his ability.
Before becoming a lawyer Matthew was a computer programmer. Some of his work can still be found http://www.screenmates.com He continues to develop software and web applications for the legal industry. A recent article in the Law Society Gazette highlighted the success of one of these projects.
He is a graduate of the University of Ulster and a post graduate of the University of Northumbria where he read Psychology and Law respectively.
