| Jane joined Neumans LLP in July 2011 and provides assistance to the serious crime, extradition and fraud departments by managing her own caseload of work. Jane also conducts legal research for the firm on various subjects and contentious issues.
Jane graduated in 2002 with a degree in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art. She proceeded to work for some of the biggest names in the art world, most notably in the Contemporary art department at Sotheby's and more recently dealing with acquisitions at Tate. It was whilst working at Tate, having been influenced throughout her career by her involvement with legal teams dealing with money laundering issues, wills and estates as well as restitution and copyright queries, that she finally decided to make the leap and convert to law.
Jane completed the GDL at BPP University College London in 2010 gaining a commendation and more recently achieving a distinction for the LPC. Whilst studying at BPP Jane became involved in the pro bono scheme 'BPP College Innocence Project' which assists convicted criminals to appeal their conviction on the grounds of wrongful or unsafe conviction. Jane has continued to be involved with the project and is now preparing a case to put forward to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
Jane is a keen long distance runner and regularly competes in races for charity. She is also fortunate to have family in Norway and enjoys cross country skiing around the fjords as well as spending her summers in France with other close relatives. |
